Brownfield land that is suitable for residential development.
Every council in England is required to produce and publish a register of previously developed land, generally termed “brownfield land”, that is suitable for residential development.
The register includes sites with planning permission for residential development, allocations and sites which would in principle be considered suitable for residential development.
You can download the register and see maps of where the land is. This register is updated each year.
