A hate incident is anything that feels like it's driven by hate or prejudice based on:
- your race, ethnicity, or nationality
- your sexual orientation
- your gender or gender identity
- your age
- a disability you have
Examples of hate incidents include:
- name-calling or insults
- threats to you, your home, or your belongings
- abusive messages or graffiti
- any behaviour that makes you feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
