Our latest annual report covers the housing service’s performance from April 2021 to April 2022 – when we were still dealing with the effects of the pandemic while also preparing to bring our housing repairs and maintenance service under more direct council control.
Despite operating in challenging circumstances we were still able to: deliver emergency and non-urgent repairs; provide support to vulnerable tenants; press ahead with improving existing homes and estates; and hold tenant involvement meetings
Looking ahead, the council remains committed to continuing its proud history of providing council homes. By purchasing properties, commissioning new homes with Registered Providers and multiple developments in the pipeline, we are safeguarding Norwich’s current and future social housing stock.
