Report a problem with tree on council owned land

What happens after we've received your enquiry

We will check to see if it relates to a council owned tree and is work that we have an obligation to carry out.

If the enquiry meets both these requirements it will be assigned a priority for inspection, based on the information contained in the enquiry.

Due to coronavirus we are not currently specifying a timescale for dealing with non-urgent inspections.

Following the inspection we will write to you with the outcome of the inspection, and if work is required, when we aim to have it completed.

If it's not a council owned tree and we are not obliged to do the work, we will let you know and the enquiry will be closed.

Please note – the time taken from receiving the enquiry to inspection and from inspection to work being completed can vary depending on the number of enquiries we are receiving, risk posed, contractor workload and the effect of extreme weather.
