About us

Norwich City Council is the data controller for the neighbourhood housing innovation and improvement team which co-ordinate tenant involvement activities and deliver the Talkback panel on behalf of the council.

You may contact our data protection and information security officer by emailing  or by calling 0344 980 3333.

What will we do with your data?

If you have opted to take part in the Talkback panel, we will use the contact details you have provided to send you surveys in your preferred format.

Access to your responses will be limited to our data processing team and reported anonymously. Any information you provide will not affect your tenancy.

We intend to keep your data until you notify us at of your wish to end your participation in the Talkback panel, at which point it will be deleted from our tenant involvement database, as stated in our Retention Schedule available on our website.

What are your rights?

You have the right to request access to your personal information to:

  • ask for errors to be corrected
  • restrict how your information is used
  • object to how it is processed
  • request that your data is deleted.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.

What are the consequences of you not providing data?

You will no longer be able to participate in the Talkback panel.

How will we share your data?

Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully required to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
