About us

Norwich City Council is the data controller for the neighbourhood housing innovation and improvement team which co-ordinate tenant involvement activities.

You may contact our data protection and information security officer by emailing dataprotection@norwich.gov.uk  or by calling 0344 980 3333.

What will we do with your data?

If you have opted to find out more about tenant involvement activities, we will use your information to provide this to you.

Should you decide to take part in tenant involvement activities, your contact information will then be used to organise and facilitate your participation in these activities. Any information you provide will not affect your tenancy.

We intend to keep your data until you notify us at involvement@norwich.gov.uk of your wish to end your participation in tenant involvement activities, at which point it will be deleted from our tenant involvement database, as per our Retention Schedule available on our website.

What are your rights?

You have the right to request access to your personal information to:

  • ask for errors to be corrected
  • restrict how your information is used
  • object to how it is processed
  • request that your data is deleted.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioners Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.

What are the consequences of you not providing data?

You will no longer be able to participate in tenant involvement activities.

How will we share your data?

Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
