Allotment waiting list

How do I arrange to extend my allotment?

To extend your current allotment growing space you need to demonstrate that you have been keeping your current plot in good condition.

Existing tenants

  • Priority for vacant plots will be given to those people on the waiting list that do not yet have an allotment.
  • If you wish to apply for an adjacent plot as an extension or a plot on another site and are an existing tenant, please contact us providing detail of your current site and plot number and the area you are looking to take on. If the plot is vacant we will be able to consider your application. If the plot is currently tenanted or under offer we will note your interest in the plot.
  • Any application for additional area totalling over 250m2 will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and is subject to vacancies, waiting list numbers, and inspection history at the time of application.
  • If your site has a site representative or an allotment association you may wish to contact them before contacting us as we are likely to have a list of plots which are vacant and which may be available on your site.

New applicants

New tenants may apply to expand their growing area after demonstrating they can successfully manage their current plot to a good standard for a minimum of one full growing season. If you don’t yet have a plot please complete an online application.

Please note that it is important that you do not start working any plots you are interested in until you have received formal notification that the plot has been allocated to you.

Although plots may appear to be vacant, please bear in mind that these plots may be under offer or under notice.

These plots will be checked during site inspections. If you require any further clarification please contact your site representative for further details.
