Notification of interest for a licenced premises

If you have a property interest in a licensed premises, you can apply to be notified whenever there is a change to the licensing register for that premises.

Who can register an interest?

You can apply if you have any of the following interests in the property:

  • You are the freeholder or leaseholder
  • You have a mortgage on the premises
  • You have a legal right to occupy the premises
  • You hold another prescribed legal interest in the premises

What happens after you apply

Once we receive your notice:

  1. We will register your interest.
  2. We will endorse the notice and return it to you.
  3. You will then be notified of any future applications made under the Licensing Act 2003 relating to that premises.

Fee

The fee for registering an interest is £21, payable by debit or credit card when you submit your application.

Processing time

We will process your notification within 10 working days of receiving your application.
