Consultations and engagement

Share your views on local plans, services, and developments that will help shape decisions that affect the community. Take part in open consultations, see what’s been decided from past ones, and stay informed about upcoming opportunities to give feedback.

Your voice matters!

Norwich City Council wants to hear from everyone who lives, works, or studies in our city. Through public consultations, you can help shape the decisions that affect your community, from parks and green spaces to housing, transport, and more.

What are consultations?

Consultations are your chance to share your views on council projects, policies, and services before decisions are made. Whether it’s a new play area, a housing strategy, or plans for the city centre, your feedback helps us make Norwich a better place for all.

How can you get involved?

  • Visit Get Talking Norwich:
Our main platform for consultations is Get Talking Norwich. Here, you can:
    • Take part in live surveys and polls
    • Share your ideas on digital noticeboards and maps
    • Join discussions with other residents
    • Follow the progress of projects that interest you
  • Join as a Community Consultant:
If you have a passion or expertise in a particular area, you can register as a Community Consultant. This means you’ll be invited to give feedback on topics you care about, in ways that suit you—like focus groups, online forums, or surveys. There’s no obligation, and you can opt out at any time
  • Attend Local Events:
Prefer to have your say in person? Look out for local events and public forums where you can meet council officers and share your views face-to-face.

Why take part?

  • Shape the Future:
Your feedback directly influences council decisions, helping us deliver services and projects that reflect what matters most to you.
  • Stay Informed:
By joining consultations, you’ll stay up to date with what’s happening in Norwich and see how your input makes a difference.
  • Everyone’s Welcome:
We want to hear from as many people as possible—every age, background, and neighbourhood. The more voices, the better our city becomes.
