Overview

Responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and delivery of housing services and community support programmes. Ensuring that residents have access to safe, secure, and sustainable housing options. 

In addition, oversees the provision of tailored support services that empower individuals to live independently, enhance their overall well-being, and participate fully in inclusive, resilient communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Housing options  oversees services that support residents in accessing suitable housing, including homelessness prevention and housing advice.
  • Housing outcomes  leads on improving housing-related outcomes for individuals and communities, ensuring services contribute to health, wellbeing, and stability.
  • Housing partnerships  manages relationships with housing providers, developers, and voluntary sector partners to support collaborative delivery of housing solutions.
  • Income and rents  responsible for rent collection, income management, and financial sustainability of housing services.
  • Independent living  supports services that enable residents – particularly older people and those with support needs to live independently in their homes.
  • Tenancy services  oversees tenancy management, including support, enforcement, and engagement to maintain successful tenancies and safe communities.
