    Leads the delivery of legal services, democratic governance, and regulatory compliance – ensuring robust decision-making and accountability across the organisation.
  • Customers, IT, digital services and transformation
    Drives innovation and service improvement through digital transformation, customer experience design, and technology strategy – ensuring services are accessible, efficient, and future-ready.
  • Finance, audit, risk and procurement
    Oversees financial planning, risk management, internal audit, and procurement – ensuring value for money, transparency, and financial sustainability.
  • Revenues and benefits
    Manages the administration of Council Tax, Business Rates, and benefits – ensuring fair, accurate, and timely support for residents and businesses.
  • People and organisational culture
    Shapes workforce strategy, organisational development, and cultural change – ensuring the council is inclusive, agile, and aligned with its values and priorities.
  • Additional roles
    Holds the statutory posts of deputy chief executive and senior information risk owner (SIRO) – providing leadership on corporate resilience, information governance, and strategic risk.
