Norwich market update
Norwich Market has a variety of stalls currently open to make sure you can get hold of essential produce.
We'd like to thank all customers for continuing to show your support for these small and independent businesses.
When you visit, it's important to continue to follow the rules put in place for the safety of all, this includes:
- wearing a mask – this is compulsory for all stallholders and visitors (except for people exempt or children under 12)
- takeaways – hot and prepared food and drink must be consumed off the market
- hand sanitiser – please use the sanitiser provided, or your own, before entering the market and when leaving
- please shop alone, wherever possible
- not gathering – remember to buy your goods and then leave, making sure you keep a good distance from other shoppers.
We can't wait to welcome back the traders who are currently not trading and some of these are providing online services in the meantime.
Norwich Market is an attractive and vibrant mix of food, crafts, flowers, services and much more. One of the oldest and largest outdoor markets in the country, it has 189 stalls trading Monday to Saturday, with a handful open on Sundays. (See individual market stalls for opening times).
There is no dedicated parking, but plenty of car parks nearby.
If you intend to apply for a licence to set up a new market in Norwich, you may need to be aware of our rival markets policy to inform your next steps. This covers details and costs for non-commercial markets, temporary markets and commercial markets.
