Warm Homes: Local Grant – help for Norwich households

If you live in Norwich and your home isn’t very energy-efficient, you could get up to £30,000 worth of works to improve it. This local grant helps cover upgrades like insulation and low-carbon heating - making your home more comfortable while saving money and cutting emissions.

What’s covered?

  • Energy-saving upgrades like insulation and better ventilation
  • Low-carbon heating like heat pumps

These changes can:

  • Make your home more comfortable
  • Cut your energy bills
  • Help reduce carbon emissions in Norwich

Who can apply?

You must:

  • Live in a privately owned or rented home
  • Have an EPC rating of D, E, F or G 

Check your EPC rating

You must also meet one of these income criteria:

1. Pathway 1

Live in a postcode ranked 1–2 on the Index of Multiple Deprivation 

Check eligible postcodes

2. Pathway 2

Receive one of these benefits:

  • Housing Benefit
  • Income-based JSA
  • Income-related ESA
  • Income Support
  • Pension Credit
  • Universal Credit

3. Pathway 3

Your household earns less than £36,000 a year (before tax)
