Hold a community litter pick – make Norwich shine!

Organising a litter pick is a fun, simple way to make an immediate difference in your neighbourhood. Whether you’re a local resident, part of a community group, or a business, getting involved is easy - and we’re here to help.

Why organise a litter pick?

  • Improve your local area and help wildlife.
  • Meet new people and build community spirit.
  • Feel great knowing you’ve made a positive impact.

What we provide

  • Free equipment: adult and children’s kits, litter pickers, hoops, and bags—all available to borrow through LUMi.
  • Waste collection: we’ll arrange to collect what you pick up. Just give us a couple of weeks notice.
  • Safety guidance: simple risk assessment tips to keep everyone safe.

Important safety notes

  • If you find needles or sharps: don’t touch them. Cover them if possible and report immediately.
  • For fly-tipping: leave it where it is and report it to us.
  • Out of hours? Call 01603 412180.
