Highlights
Thousands of people filled the city for the Lord Mayor’s Weekend 2026.
The centrepiece of the celebrations was the annual Lord Mayor's Procession, which wound its way through lined city streets on Saturday afternoon.
Schools, charities, community groups, performers and local organisations took part in a colourful parade inspired by this year's Wild About Norwich theme.
Visitors also enjoyed:
- Free, family fun at Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich Market and The Halls
- Live music performances throughout the weekend
- The Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre
- The ever-popular Norwich Duck Race
Together, these events created a weekend full of colour, creativity and celebration for people of all ages.

"This weekend has truly shown Norwich shining at its absolute finest. Community spirit, incredible creativity and wonderful memories being made by all ages. Thank you to the thousands of people that turned out and to everyone involved in making it such a success."
Meet this year's Lord Mayor's Procession winners!
The winners of this year's Lord Mayor’s Procession were welcomed to City Hall for a special celebration hosted by the Lord Mayor of Norwich, Cllr Karen Davis, and Sheriff, Dave Shraga.
The event recognised the outstanding groups and organisations that helped make this year's procession such a vibrant and memorable part of Lord Mayor's Weekend. Participants brought colour, creativity, music and community spirit to Norwich city centre, delighting thousands of spectators along the route.
The Lord Mayor and Sheriff were also pleased to welcome representatives from the Great Norwich Duck Race, who presented a cheque to this year's civic charity, Mind the Gap music group, following another successful fundraising event.

Lord Mayor's Weekend is a celebration of the people who make Norwich such a special place to live, work and visit.
From community groups and volunteers to performers, local businesses and event partners, hundreds of people played a part in delivering an unforgettable weekend. Their enthusiasm, creativity and commitment helped create an event that reflected the diversity, talent and community spirit of our city.
