Accessibility

We aim to make City Hall accessible to all visitors:

  • Level access is available via the Bethel Street entrance.
  • Lifts provide access to all upper floors, including public meeting rooms
  • Assistance dogs only are permitted inside City Hall
  • Interpretation and translation services are available free of charge for anyone needing help accessing council service
  • Text Relay service is available for hearing-impaired visitors: call 18001 0344 980 3333

Appointments

When visiting us with a customer enquiry, you will need a face-to-face appointment.   Wherever possible these should be booked in advance by calling 0344 980 3333.

When you arrive:

  • Please use the Bethel Street entrance to our customer contact centre (level access available)
  • On arrival, check in in at the welcome desk then staff will guide you to the waiting area
  • Opening hours 9am to 4pm, Mon-Fri (excluding bank holidays)

Public meetings

  • Generally open to eveyone unless confidential matters are being discussed.
  • Please use the Bethel Street entrance (level access available) and sign in at the welcome desk in the customer contact centre.
  • Public meetings are held on the first floor, which is accessible via stairs or lift.
  • View the meeting calendar for upcoming meetings.
