We manage trees in:
- council house gardens
- communal areas of council homes or flats
- parks
- woodlands
- cemeteries
If the tree is near a road, pavement, or public right of way, please contact Norfolk County Council instead.
We do not prune or remove trees for:
- leaves, fruit, or bird droppings
- pollen, sap, or insects
- reduced daylight
- overhanging branches
- TV or phone signal issues
We do prune trees when:
- they are touching a building or property
We may remove trees if they are:
- dead or diseased
- structurally unsafe or leaning dangerously
- damaged and hazardous
- blocking access (and pruning isn’t enough)
Report a problem with a council tree
Once you submit your enquiry:
- we’ll check if the tree is on council land and if we’re responsible
- if yes, we’ll prioritise it for inspection
- after inspection, we’ll let you know the outcome and any planned work
- if it’s not our responsibility, we’ll inform you and close the enquiry
Please note: response times may vary depending on risk level, contractor availability, and weather conditions.
