Fees

Fees are based on the non-domestic rateable value (NDRV) of the premises. These can be checked on the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).
Processing and timescales
If you do not submit your application electronically, you must also serve a copy, including the accompanying documentation, to all the responsible authorities on the same day. When using the online form, we will undertake the consultation with the responsible authorities.
The consultation period is 28 days following receipt of the valid application. If no representations have been received, the premises licence is granted.
If relevant representations are made against the application, a hearing will be held within 20 working days after the end of the consultation period, where the matter will be decided by a licensing sub-committee (which is made up of elected members of the council).
The licence is subject to an annual fee.
