Work with Norwich City Council – contract opportunities

We regularly publish tenders for goods, services, and works to ensure fair and transparent procurement. Whether you're a local supplier or a national contractor, find out how to register, express interest, and contribute to delivering value for Norwich through our e-tendering platforms.

Where to find opportunities

We advertise all current contract opportunities online. You can find them on:

  • Norwich City Council’s e-Tendering Portal - this is our main platform for managing tenders. You can:
    • Register for free
    • Get email alerts when new opportunities are posted
    • View current and past tenders
    • Submit your bids and documents securely

  • Find a Tender (UK Government site) - this is a national service for public sector contracts.

  • TED (Tenders Electronic Daily) - for contracts in the EU.

  • Contracts Register - we also publish a monthly list of current and upcoming contracts. It shows:
    • Whether a contract is active or in planning
    • How it will be advertised (e.g. open tender)
    • When the tender documents will be released

Social value in procurement

We aim to get more out of every pound we spend - not just in cost savings, but by delivering social, economic, and environmental benefits through our contracts.

What is social value?

Social value means making sure our procurement choices support:

  • Local communities
  • Environmental sustainability
  • Ethical practices
  • Our corporate priorities

How we deliver social value

Tackle modern slavery

We’re committed to ethical procurement and protecting vulnerable people.

In 2018, we adopted the Co-operative Party’s Charter Against Modern Slavery, recognising that:

  • Modern slavery exists across the UK
  • Victim support must go beyond the current 45-day limit
  • Councils must ensure their supply chains are free from exploitation
