Norwich continues to show that no business should be left without support with a new grant launched today.
The locally developed discretionary grant: Additional Restrictions Scheme January 2022 is available to both rated and non-rated, including freelance and mobile, businesses affected by the Omicron variant.
This is open to businesses in personal care, events and wedding sectors, breweries, English language schools, gyms and taxis licensed by Norwich City Council.
Those eligible can apply for the following amounts:
- £750 for non-rated businesses
- £2667 where the rateable value is £15,000 and under
- £4000 where the rateable value is between £15,001 and £50,999
- £6000 where the rateable value is £51,000 or more.
Businesses are urged to act quickly as applications must be received no later than Monday 28 February and subject to funds available; if there are enough applicants and the fund is fully committed to before this date, the scheme may close early.
Councillor Alan Waters, leader of Norwich City Council said:
“Our teams have worked throughout the pandemic to make sure businesses, large and very small, are supported.
To make sure no-one is left out, including the freelancers and people without fixed premises, schemes have been designed to meet local need.
Please take a look to see if there’s support available to you.”
