What is a pop-up stall?
A pop-up stall is a short-term rental space available at Norwich market. We’ve designated Stalls 12 and 13 for pop-up use - ideal for creatives, makers, and small businesses wanting to dip their toes into market trading.
Who can rent a pop-up?
Whether you're a collective, a solo entrepreneur, or a small-scale producer, our pop-up stalls are designed to support:
- themed events like arts and crafts, photography, antiques, or homeware
- innovative businesses that don’t need a full-time retail space
- trial traders exploring if a permanent stall is the right fit
You must be 18 or over to apply, and all applications are reviewed to ensure quality and suitability.
Booking details
- rental duration: from 1 week up to 3 months (Monday–Sunday)
- key collection: from 10am on your first day
- key return: by 7pm on your final day
- cost: £100 + VAT per week
Stall specs
- located within the main market structure
- approximately 8ft deep x 10ft wide
- electric roller shutter front, side access via shutter or sliding doors
- includes lighting and 4+ double sockets
- maximum electrical load: 9KwH (recommended usage: 7KwH)
Food traders
Due to limited facilities, on-site food preparation is not permitted. However, packaged food from a registered premises with a minimum 3-star food safety rating is welcome.
Make it yours
Feel free to decorate your stall with non-permanent items like bunting, PVC signs, and banners. Just remember:
- no permanent fixtures
- bring your own tables and display furniture
- remove all items before leaving
What you’ll need
To trade, you’ll need:
- Public Liability Insurance (£5 million cover)
- proof of ID and address
- full payment before or on key collection day
