Consultation closed: Proposed Hackney Carriage vehicle licence fee increase

Norwich City Council is proposing to increase the cost of a Hackney Carriage vehicle licence from £123 a year to £159 a year in order to cover the cost of processing licensing applications.
This is to ensure the process is cost-neutral. The council will not make any profit from the proposed increase.
This consultation opens on Thursday 5 January and closes at midnight on Wednesday 1 February 2023. If agreed, the new charges will come into effect by early in 2023.
Licence holders have been sent consultation details and asked to provide feedback by email to licensing@norwich.gov.uk
