Consultation closed Friday 25 March 2022
Norwich City Council would like to hear from you on our proposals to improve the Houses in multiple occupation (HMO) licensing process.
The draft policy for consultation proposes a five-year standard licence term (changing from the current length of one year). The council would still require production of up-to-date certification throughout the five-year period at annual intervals.
Following the recent consultation of the draft HMO Policy a number of representations were made and the following changes have been made to the policy:
If the new policy is adopted after this consultation, the date the change to the licence term is expected to take effect from will be confirmed.
We are seeking your opinions on the proposals set out in the following:
If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please email licensing@norwich.gov.uk by Friday 25 March 2022.
