Need someone to vote for you? If you can’t get to the polling station on election day, you can ask someone you trust to vote on your behalf.

If you want to appoint a temporary proxy to vote on your behalf in a specific election, are an overseas voter or a service voter, you can do this online.
Applications to appoint a permanent proxy must be made on a paper form - keep reading for more detail on paper applications.
As with registering to vote, we'll need to confirm your identity before we can process your postal vote application. You will need this information to complete the application:
You’ll also need to upload a photo of your handwritten signature in black ink on plain white paper.
You can download a paper version of the different proxy applications.
You must complete the correct form when applying to vote by proxy; some of the reasons to appoint a proxy may need to be supported in your application, so it is important that you read all of the application form to ensure that it is completed correctly.
You can cancel or change your proxy vote by contacting us by email: elections@norwich.gov.uk or calling 0344 980 3333.
Important - the deadline for applications to vote by proxy is by 5pm, six working days before polling day. Postal proxy votes will need to be received at least a week before that.
