Norwich City Council and Norfolk County Council elections will be held on Thursday 7 May 2026. This follows the Government announcement made on 16 February 2026.
Norwich City Council
There are 13 wards in Norwich and each ward has three councillors.
We elect by thirds, which means one councillor per ward is up for election every year, except one year in four where there are no Norwich City Council elections. This means 13 of our council seats will be up for re-election on 7 May 2026. There are a total of 39 elected councillors.
The next election will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026.
