Norwich City Council is the data controller for the surveys and consultations we conduct. Most of the surveys and consultations the council conducts will follow this privacy notice, however, some - such as the Local Area Survey - have their own specific privacy notice rather than this one.
In collating responses of the public’s views, the council will process personal data including, but not limited to, names and contact details.

We use your data to aid our decision making processes, relating to the services we provide or may be considering providing.
We intend to keep your data for no longer than 6 months after the closure of the consultation.

Information provided for is shared internally with the communications team and the department conducting the survey. Aggregated data, that does not include personal identifiers, may be shared with other departments internally or published externally.
We do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
