Pledge Norwich

What is Pledge Norwich?
Pledge Norwich is a funding program by Norwich City Council that helps local charities, community groups, co-operatives, and not-for-profit organisations bring their ideas to life. It’s all about improving neighbourhoods, supporting residents, and making Norwich an even better place to live.
How does it work?
- The fund comes from the Community Infrastructure Levy (money developers pay to support local areas).
- Eligible projects can receive up to 50% of their total cost, capped at £5,000.
- You’ll need to show you have the rest of the funding in place before the council releases its pledge.
What kind of projects get funded?
Think community-focused and inclusive ideas, such as:
- Green spaces: planting, wildflower meadows, community gardens.
- Play and youth activities: playground improvements, sports clubs.
- Community hubs: cafés, workshops, art projects.
- Environmental initiatives: recycling, biodiversity, anti-litter campaigns.
- Accessibility improvements: wheelchair-friendly spaces, dementia-friendly areas.
- Training and skills: horticulture, community leadership.

- Raised beds and a wildflower meadow in Jubilee Park.
- A community café at Mousehold Hub.
- A new accessible bus for Norwich Door to Door.
- Expanding youth workshops like Not About the Bike.
