Rent charges 2025-26

Each year, council rents are reviewed and set in line with government regulations. These decisions take into account factors such as:

  • Average manual wages
  • Council property values
  • The number of bedrooms in your home

From April 2025 to March 2026, council rents will increase by 2.7%, in line with the government’s rent cap. This represents an average rise of £2.45 per week.
