Earlier start for bin collections
Due to the warm weather, all bin collections will begin at 6am on Tuesday 28 July.
Please put your bin out after 6pm the evening before your collection day, or early in the morning.
When to put out your bins
When and where to place your bins for collection.
Wheelie bins or bags should be placed close to, but outside of, your property boundary, no earlier than 6pm the evening before your collection day and no later than 6am on the day itself.
Ensure your bin is returned inside your property boundary by 9am the following morning.
- lids must be closed
- bins that are overflowing won't be collected
- bins that contain items they shouldn't won't be collected
Household collections:
- blue bin: mixed recycling (every other week)
- black bin: general rubbish (every other week)
- food waste: every week
- black sack: general rubbish (every week)
- blue sack: recycling (every other week)
- garden waste (every other week)
Small electrical items, batteries and textiles can be left next to your bin for weekly collection.
Communal bin collections:
- recycling: every other week
- general rubbish: every other week
- food waste: every week
Bank holiday and public holidays
Collection days will change following bank holidays and other public holidays.
Check your collection day to make sure you know when to put out your bin.
