You may be able to get a grant or loan to help with home improvements, repairs or adaptations.

What we can help with:
- Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) – for making your home safer if you’re disabled
- Minor adaptations – like grab rails or easy-turn taps (for council homes)
- Safe at Home Grant – small repairs or changes to help with daily tasks
- Hospital Discharge Grant – support to help you return home safely
- Preventing Admission to Hospital Grant – to avoid going into hospital
- Home Improvement Loan – for homeowners with unsafe homes
- Enabling Carers Adaptation Grant – a DFG that also supports carers
- Affordable Warmth Grant – help with heating and insulation
- Home Safety Grant – extra security if you’re affected by domestic abuse or antisocial behaviour
Support for children with neurodiverse disabilities
If your child (under 18) has a condition like ADHD or autism and needs home adaptations or a grant:
Call: Norfolk County Council’s Children’s Advice and Duty Service (CADs) on 0344 800 8020.
They’ll assess your situation and refer you to us if needed.
