Tattooing, piercing and specialist skin treatments
Licences for businesses offering specialist treatments such as tattooing, skin piercing and electrolysis
If your business offers treatments like tattooing, acupuncture, semi-permanent makeup, cosmetic piercing, or electrolysis in Norwich, you must register both the premises and each practitioner.
Registration fees
- £318 per premises
- £79 per practitioner
Fees are fixed, even if registering for multiple treatments.
When to re-register
You’ll need to re-register if:
- you add new treatments
- you move premises
- a practitioner adds treatments or moves location
What happens next
Once registered and paid:
- You’ll receive a certificate and a copy of the byelaws
- Certificates and byelaws must be displayed at the premises
- An environmental health officer will inspect the premises
