If you are referred for homelessness assistance, you will be given a Housing Adviser. They will make a plan with steps for you and the council to follow to solve your housing problem, called a Personalised Housing Plan. Housing options for you might include:
- private rented accommodation - you will need to look for private rentals, including shared housing. Your Housing Adviser can help you assess how much rent you can afford
- council housing - you might be able to join the Council’s Housing Register for council housing. Your Housing Adviser will assess this
- supported housing - you might be referred to supported housing, where support workers will help you to live independently.
