Norwich City Council is the data controller for providing housing advice and processing homelessness and housing applications, and we have a legal obligation to process your personal information. We use it to process your homeless and housing applications and provide you with housing advice. We aim to keep your information for 12 years, as stated in our Retention Schedule available on our website.

We will be unable to process your application.
Information provided for housing and homelessness is shared internally with housing, revenues and benefits teams and externally with the Ministry of Housing, community groups, local government authorities, health services, social services and the police, in order that they may carry out their statutory duties.
We also share your data with the Cabinet Office as part of the National Fraud Initiative AND externally where we are lawfully required to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
