Norwich City Council is the data controller for any information created as part of our mental health first aid offer (MHFA) to support staff. We will only process your personal data with your explicit consent.

We use your name and contact details to respond to your request to meet with one of our accredited MHFAs.
We intend to keep such information for no longer than 12 months from the end your involvement with the service.
During an sessions no identifiable personal data about you will be recorded or kept by the council.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.
Should you not provide your contact details our MHFAs will not be able to arrange a session with you.
Your contact details will only be shared amongst the MHFAs in those circumstances where one MHFA is unable to meet with you, this is to provide a continuity of business.
The anonymised records captured in a session with an MHFA will only be accessible to them and to HR colleagues for quality and monitoring purposes.
Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
