About us
iChoosr is the data controller for Norfolk Energy Switch. Norwich City Council is the data processor for Norfolk Energy Switch. Norwich City Council only processes data for residents in the Norwich City Council area.
You may contact the council’s data protection and information security officer by emailing DPO@norwich.gov.uk or by calling 0344 980 3333. You can contact iChoosr at privacy@ichoosr.com.
What will we do with your data?
If you contact us for help with registration we will register you with Norfolk Energy Switch. This registration data is not held by us. iChoosr, will use this data to calculate an energy offer and communicate this information to you.
If, when you register, you opt in to receive communication from the council we may hold certain contact details that you provide. We intend to keep your data for 12 months as stated in our Retention Schedule available on our website.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request access to your personal information to:
- ask for errors to be corrected
- restrict how your information is used
- object to how it is processed
- request that your data is deleted.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.
What are the consequences of you not providing data?
You would be unable to join the Norfolk Energy Switch.
How will we share your data?
Your data is only shared with Norwich City Council if you have specifically opted in to receive communication from the council.
When you accept an offer, iChoosr will share your data with the supplier, in order to execute the contract.
Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
