About us
Norwich City Council is the data controller for Norwich Older People’s Forum. We are processing your data on behalf of Norwich Older People’s Forum which is a voluntary organisation.

What we do with your data?
We use the information you give us to invite you to Norwich Older People’s Forum public meetings. If you have given us an email address, we will also send you information about events, groups and other items which may be of interest to older people.
We intend to keep your data for as long as we have your consent. You may withdraw your consent and ask for your information to be deleted at any time by emailing strategy@norwich.gov.uk.
What are your rights?
Under data protection legislation you have the right to request access to your personal information to:
- ask for errors to be corrected
- restrict how your information is used
- object to how it is processed
- request that your data is deleted.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.
What are the consequences of you not providing data?
The only data you are required to provide is your name and an email or postal address. If you do not provide this information Norwich Older People’s Forum will not be able to continue inviting you to its public meetings and sending you items which may be of interest to older people.
How will we share your data?
Information provided for Norwich Older People’s Forum will not be shared with any other organisation or with anyone else at Norwich City Council.
