Privacy notice for procurement carbon emissions analysis
About us
Norwich City Council is the data controller for Procurement carbon emissions analysis. CO2 Analysis is the data processor for Procurement carbon emissions analysis.

What will we do with your data?
We use it to analyse greenhouse gas emissions associated with the council’s procured goods and services, to inform development of the council’s environmental strategy and its approach to decarbonising its operations in line with climate commitments.
In line with the Contracts Privacy Notice, we intend to keep your data for seven years after the end of the financial year in which the records were created. Any information relating to contracts made under seal will be destroyed twelve years after the contract termination as stated in our Retention Schedule available on our website.
Data shared with CO2 Analysis as data processor will be destroyed immediately following completion of processing for procurement carbon emissions analysis.
What are your rights?
You have the right to request access to your personal information to:
- ask for errors to be corrected
- restrict how your information is used
- object to how it is processed
- request that your data is deleted.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office if you are not happy with how your data is processed.
What are the consequences of you not providing data?
We will not be able to accurately quantify the council’s operational greenhouse gas emissions, and consequently may not be able to meet our environmental commitments.
We may not be able to award a contract to you in line with the council’s developing sustainable procurement strategy.
How will we share your data?
Information provided for contractor procurement purposes is to be shared, as necessary, within Norwich City Council and with our contractor CO2 Analysis in order that they may effectively carry out their procurement emissions analysis service.
Apart from where previously stated, we do not pass your details to third parties unless we are lawfully able to do so for the prevention and detection of crime and fraud, or for the collection of taxes.
