Norwich City Council budget

Each year, Norwich City Council sets a budget to plan how money will be spent on local services - from waste collection and housing to parks and community support.

How the budget is set

The budget is approved by the full council’s 39 elected councillors. Before decisions are made, residents and businesses can share their views through a public consultation, helping to shape the final budget proposals. The budget year starts 1 April - 31 March.
