Working in Earlham or Rosary cemetery
If you want to put up or fix a memorial in Earlham or Rosary Cemetery, these rules apply:
- Insurance:
You must have Public Liability Insurance and show proof before you start work. - Follow Safety Rules:
All new memorials must meet British safety standard BS8415. Masons should follow BRAMM (British Register of Accredited Memorial Masons) Blue Book guidelines. These cover:- Ground conditions
- Foundation design
- How the memorial is put together
If a memorial does not meet these rules, the burial authority can ask for it to be fixed within 28 days.
- Marking the Memorial:
Every memorial must show the section and plot number clearly on the stone.
