Small electricals, batteries, clothes and textiles
- Put small things like toasters, batteries, or old clothes/textiles in a plastic bag.
- On bin day, leave the bag next to your recycling or waste bin where it can be easily seen.
If the bin truck is too full, your bag might not be taken. If that happens, just leave it out again next week. You don’t need to tell anyone.
Big electrical items
- Big things like TVs or fridges should go to the recycling centre.
- Can’t take them yourself? We can collect them for a fee.
Please don’t put electrical items in your black or green bin.
Food waste
We collect food waste every week – find out when your collection is.
Blue recycling bin
Put clean packaging like cardboard, cans and plastic in your blue bin or recycling bag.
Find out what else you can recycle in your bin.
Cooking oil
Don’t pour oil down the sink. You can recycle it instead.
Garden waste
We can collect garden waste like grass and leaves. This is a paid service.
