What's on?
You can explore the building, speak with staff about the renovations, and learn some of its history.
Most areas are step-free or accessible via lifts, with ample facilities including toilets, three accessible bathrooms, and several baby-changing and feeding spaces.
The Halls is an ideal spot for people looking for a place to take part in the festivities but for who large crowds might not be their thing.
St Andrew’s Hall will be set up with a few tables and chairs with some background music playing.
The Crypt will be set up as a designated quiet space, as it is the perfect cool spot on a warm day.
Lots of activities will be available around the building to dip in and out of as you choose including:
- Free craft activities – make a ribbon waver which you can take with you to the procession
- Face painter on site
- Hook a duck
- Skittles
- Swing ball
- Tin Can Alley
- Giant Jenga
- Giant Draughts
- Giant Playing Cards
- Giant Snakes and Ladders game
- Colouring activities
(some of the noisier games will be sited with consideration)
Performances on the Plain 11am-3pm
Throughout the day there will be various performances from local groups so grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the free entertainment. Details to follow soon.
Entry into the building and all activities are free. No need to book, just come along.
