Getting here on foot

The city centre will be extremely pedestrian‑friendly:

Extensive road closures make central streets fully walkable and safe for crowds.
The main parade route runs from Norwich Cathedral → Tombland → St Andrews Street → Exchange Street → Gentleman’s Walk → Theatre Street → Chapelfield Gardens, so expect high footfall in these areas.

Getting here by bicycle

While official cycling guidance is not published separately:

  • Several central streets are closed to vehicles, which typically benefits cyclists, but bike access may still be restricted along the procession route and closed areas.
  • If possible, cycle to the edge of the closure zone and walk your bike into the event footprint.

Accessible travel

  • Chapelfield Gardens (a main activity hub) offers level-access gates, accessible viewing areas, and accessible toilets.
  • Theatre Street accessible viewing area requires pre‑booking.
  • The council aims to respond to accessibility queries within 3–5 working days depending on proximity to the event.
