People across Norwich will go to the polls on Thursday 7 May to elect 14 city councillors and 13 county councillors.

The statements of persons nominated have now been published. This means voters can find out who is standing in each of the 13 wards and divisions across the city.

Residents are being encouraged to make sure they are ready to vote. This includes registering before the deadline and checking they have an accepted form of photo ID if they plan to vote at a polling station.

Louise Rawsthorne, Returning Officer, said: “Local elections are an important opportunity to have your say on the issues that affect your community. We want to make sure everyone who is eligible can take part, so please take a few minutes now to check you are ready to vote.

“If you plan to vote at a polling station, you will need to show photo ID. If you do not have an accepted form of ID, such as a passport or driving licence, you can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate.
