UEA Symphony Orchestra and Choir, conducted by UEA Director of Music Bjorn Bantock, warmly invite you to their spring concert, Echoes of the Soul.
The programme pairs the tempestuous grandeur of César Franck’s Symphony in D minor with the luminous serenity of Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem.
Franck’s symphony surges with romantic passion and cyclic mastery, while Duruflé’s choral masterpiece, rooted in Gregorian chant, offers a tender meditation on eternity.
Together, these works present two profound musical voices exploring the depths of the human spirit.
Soloists in Duruflé’s Requiem are Emma Roberts (mezzo-soprano) and Alex Jones (baritone).
