Norwich City Council regularly reviews how and where residents vote to ensure polling arrangements are fair, accessible, and up to date. Here's what you need to know about recent and upcoming changes.

Norwich City Council regularly reviews polling stations and voting areas to make sure they are easy to access and suitable for everyone.

Current Review: 2024–2025

From 16 October 2024, we’re reviewing our polling stations to:

  • make sure they’re easy to get to and use
  • prepare for the next local elections on 1 May 2025

Parliamentary boundary review

In 2023, the Boundary Commission for England reviewed parliamentary constituencies to make sure each area has a similar number of voters. They also considered local community connections.

Local Ward Boundary Review

In 2018, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England reviewed Norwich’s ward boundaries. The new boundaries were used for the first time in the May 2019 elections.
