If you’ve been unwell and think it’s because of something you ate, you can report it to us.

You can report issues like:
- Something foreign in your food (e.g. metal, plastic)
- Mouldy or rotten food
- Food sold after its use by date

Poor hygiene or food safety
Let us know if you see:
- Dirty kitchens or food areas
- Staff not washing hands
- Unsafe food handling
- Food businesses that aren’t registered

Complaints we don’t deal with
Please contact Trading Standards for:
- False health claims
- Incorrect or missing ingredients
- Food not weighing what it says
- Misleading product descriptions
- Missing or incorrect allergen info
Compensation or refunds
We don’t deal with refunds or compensation. You can either contact the business directly or get legal advice.
