How to apply for a garage or parking bay

Garages and lockable parking bays are available for rent across the city for parking motorised vehicles or storage. You don’t have to live in Norwich to apply, although we do give priority to those who do, especially Blue Badge holders.

How to apply

To register your interest, you’ll need:

For parking:

  • UK or European driving licence
  • proof of vehicle ownership or lease.

For storage:

  • 2 forms of ID
  • register your interest

Charges

Rent is charged weekly and paid monthly by Direct Debit.

Garages:

Council tenants: £11.37/week
Norwich residents: £17.74/week
Non-residents: £31.78/week

Parking posts:

Council tenants: £5.91/week
Norwich residents: £14.18/week
Non-residents: £17.77/week

Council tenants can rent up to two garages at a reduced rate.
Rent accounts must be clear to qualify.
No parking in front of garages – fines may apply.

Ending your tenancy

To end your rental, you must:

  • give 1 week’s written notice (tenancy ends on a Sunday)
  • empty and clean the garage as charges apply if not
  • return keys to City Hall
