Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm (England) Regulations 2015 - With effect from 1 October 2015 all properties must be fitted with a smoke alarm on every floor. Detectors must:
- comply with current British Standards
- be installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations
- be kept in working order and tested at the beginning of each tenancy.
