To ensure Norwich continues to thrive for everyone, the city has developed a long-term plan: the Norwich 2040 City Vision.
What is the City Vision?
The Norwich 2040 City Vision is a shared roadmap for the future of our city. It sets out what we want Norwich to be like by the year 2040 - and how we’ll work together to make that happen.
This vision was shaped by conversations with local people, businesses, and organisations. It reflects our collective hopes and ambitions for a city that is:
- Creative – A place that celebrates arts, culture, and innovation.
- Fair – A city where everyone has access to opportunities and support.
- Liveable – A healthy, safe, and enjoyable place to live.
- Connected – Well-linked through transport, technology, and community.
- Dynamic – Forward-thinking, resilient, and open to change.
