Our council is made up of 39 elected members who meet throughout the year to make decisions about how local services are run. These meetings are open to the public - so you're welcome to come along and see how things work.
The Full Council decides big-picture policies as well as approving changes to the constitution and hearing motions from Councillors. Once a year, it also sets the council’s budget, decides how much council tax people will pay, and elects the Lord Mayor and Sheriff.
